"Barça could get Luis Suarez ban suspended"

Octavio Fragata is one of nearly 80 lawyers who form part of the firm "TozziniFreire", one of the most prestigious in Brazil and one that has played an important role in many significant cases in South America.

However, more importantly, Fragata has experience in cases which have taken place at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland.

And it seems that this is where the case of Luis Suarez is going to end up.

Fragata has spoken with SPORT, relaying his knowledge to give an opinion on what happened with Suarez and what could happen if the case ends up in the CAS.

Do you think FIFA's sanction was fair on Luis Suarez?

The question of justice is difficult to answer, but we could say that the sanction was applied correctly, even if rigorously.

What is the biggest injustice of the ban?

The biggest injustice is that it prohibits him from practising sport. That it pohibits him from practising any activity in relation to football for four months.

Do you believe the player and Barça have worked well on his defence?

I can't comment on that, sorry.

Do you believe that if asked for a suspension of the ban, the CAS will grant it?

It is possible to authorise and interim supsension until the CAS make a ruling, therefore it is possible that could be achieved.

If the ban was suspended, would it be total (could train, play) or just partial?

It could be total or partial.

More than just the suspension, what do you think the CAS will decide on this subject?

There are lots of different possibilities. One for example, could be that the player and FIFA reach an agreement to cancel the four month ban with the compromise that the player undertakes psychological treatment for a period of time
