Barack Obama's kids keen to meet Barcelona's Lionel Messi

Barack Obama, the president of the United States, revealed his children are desperate to meet Barcelona star Lionel Messi. 

Speaking in Buenos Aires, Obama explained how they have already met one famous Argentine, but that he has been unable to arrange a meeting with Messi.

"I also wanted to bring my daughters here, so they could see the beauty and the vibrancy of this city," he said. 

"They've already met one famous Argentinean - His Holiness Pope Francis… 

“But now they want to meet Messi, but I could not arrange that."

Messi is currently away with the Argentine national team, with a game to come against Claudio Bravo's Chile this week.
