Antoine Griezmann came out with some surprising quotes in L'Equipe, while with the France squad. Asked about a hypothetical move to Barcelona or Real Madrid, he replied: "Why not? It's a dream to play at the biggest clubs and those two are on an equal footing with Bayern and the English sides."

However he then added: "Right now, I don't see myself at Barça or Real Madrid. Nor outside... I am in Spain, where there's a lot of sun. That helps, I need it to feel happy in my private life and play like this on the pitch. Everything is related."

On the Ballon d'Or he said: "It's tricky to fight for it with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. I prefer a collective trophy because through the year you go through hard and wonderful moments with your team-mates. I'd prefer to win a World Cup or a European Championship and never win the Ballon d'Or, for example."
