Aleix Vidal: It's difficult when you're competing with Dani Alves

Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal has analysed his role in the Barcelona team ahead of Saturday's Clasico, assuring that he will adapt to the side's style of play and that, despite having to compete with one of the world's best full-backs, he won't give up.

"I won't change. I know where I am and what I can bring. Everything else is up to the manager. In the end, I know that I will end up adapting well," said Vidal, whose role in the side has decreased since he made his debut in January.

Vidal added that "Barcelona's style is different to Sevilla's. It's diffiult to adapt to the best club in the world and it's even more difficult if you are competing with the best full-back [Alves]." The player is aware that, as the games increase in difficulty, Luis Enrique rotates his side less and less.

The loss of minutes has done damage to Vidal's chances of playing in the European Championships with Spain this summer. At Seville, he'd broken into the squad, but that seems a long time ago now. "If you don't play, it's difficult to go to the Euros," he admitted.
