Manuel Neuer hails Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak ahead of semi-final

Manuel Neuer has hailed his opposite number Jan Oblak as Bayern prepare to take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

"Oblak is a very good goalkeeper," said the Munich stopper. "He harmonises very well with the defence, they talk to each other. Both teams are very strong in defence, they don’t concede a lot, you can see that."

He also liked the idea of giving Pep Guardiola the Champions League as a leaving present before he joins Manchester City in the summer.

"Of course we want to give him a present, but we want to give all the Bayern fans a present, and ourselves one too. Everything worked really well that season with [Jupp] Heyckes, so let's hope this one does as well."
