Tata Martino thinks Lionel Messi has become a more complete player

Tata Martino says he has not decided on Argentina's attacking line up.

He has plenty of striking options, from Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, to Juventus forward Carlos Tevez and Napoli hitman Gonzalo Higuain.

As well as that trio, he also has the captain of the side, Lionel Messi.

"I think you have to look at the present. Who is better, who ended the season better. Their mood is also important," Martino told La Nacion.

"Among footballers who play well, it is much easier. Today, I still do not know what is the most important factor nor how I will make the decision.

"I want to see them. Kun (Aguero) arrives quickly, Pipa (Higuain) takes a little longer and Carlos comes even later. Now, I cannot know, you have to live with this.

Martino also thinks he will be receiving a mature Messi.

“I think there are some players where the good and bad spells depend entirely on them," explained Martino.

"Now I see a Leo who does what the team needs: scoring, assisting, dribbling, defending. He's a very complete player now.

"Leo does things I didn't see before. The other day he defended Neymar against [Diego] Godin. That is very important.

"Coming from him, they are gestures that are very valuable for the team-mate against the opponent.

"It is very easy to read Leo when he’s well, when he is enjoying himself."
