Raphael Varane replaced by Adil Rami in France Euro 2016 squad

Raphael Varane will miss Euro 2016 due to a hamstring injury.

The Real Madrid centre-back is likely to miss at least three weeks, so he has been cut from the squad, with Sevilla's Adil Rami replacing him.

He will also miss the Champions League final. Real Madrid published a statement reading: "After tests carried out today on player Raphael Varane he was diagnosed with a grade two injury in the left hamstring. His recovery will continue to be assessed."

Varane was not likely to start the final, against Atletico Madrid, anyway, with Sergio Ramos and Pepe the usual first choice partnership.
