Top 10 transfers: Most expensive signings in 2015-16

There will be plenty more big deals to come, including the imminent transfer of Angel di Maria to PSG from Manchester United, but to date, these are the 10 most expensive transfers of the window so far.

----------------------------------------------------------

1. Raheem Sterling (€62.5m)

Manchester City splashed the cash to take one of the hottest prospects in football from Liverpool - although he's already started to make good on that promise.

2. Christian Benteke (€46.5m)

To take Sterling's place, although as a different type of player, Liverpool signed the Belgian striker from Aston Villa.

3. Arturo Vidal (€37m)

Pep Guardiola picked the Chilean midfielder from Juventus to reinforce his Bayern Munich midfield.

4. Roberto Firmino (€41m)

Liverpool hit the market hard and as well as Benteke, they've also taken the Hoffenheim star to help their squad jump forward in quality.

5. Jackson Martinez (€35m)

Fernando Torres, Forlan, Aguero, Falcao, Diego Costa, Mandzukic... and now Jackson Martinez. Atletico Madrid are looking to keep their fine striker records going and have picked the Colombian as the man for the job.

6. Morgan Schneiderlin (€35m)

Louis van Gaal has been another to fish in Southampton's pool in the last few years. The Frenchman arrives at Manchester United ready to help the Red Devils return to the top.

7. Arda Turan (€34m)

Barcelona, champions of Europe, know they have to keep improving to stay at the top of their game. Arda Turan was one of the players Luis Enrique wanted and now the Turk will play at the Camp Nou from January.

8. Paulo Dybala (€32m)

The Argentine creator has left Palermo to sign for Allegri's Juventus, where he will hope to show he's one of the best signings of the summer.

9. Danilo (€31.5m)

Real Madrid have reinforced their defence with the former Porto star and watching his progression will be interesting.

10. Carlos Bacca (€30m)

The Colombia has signed for Milan after playing well at Sevilla. As well as Bacca,  Kondogbia (Inter), Rodrigo (Valencia), Negredo (Valencia) and Douglas Costa (Bayern) also cost the same, per Transfermarkt.
