Villarreal sign striker Cedric Bakambu from Bursaspor

Villarreal have followed up the signing of Tottenham’s Roberto Soldado by clinching Bursaspor striker Cedric Bakambu.

Alongside Soldado and Leo Baptistao, who has joined on loan from Atletico Madrid, the former Sochaux forward will be tasked with replacing the goals of Luciano Vietto. 

Bakambu, 24, scored an impressive 21 goals in the Turkish league last season and the fee is reported to be around seven million euros. 

His former clubs include Frenchs side Sochaux and he is an international for DR Congo.
