UEFA have opened an investiagtion after a Celtic supporter tried to attack Kylian Mbappe during Paris Saint-Germain's 5-0 win in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The game was brought to a stop in the first half when a fan made his way on to the pitch and tried to kick Mbappe, who joined PSG on loan from Monaco this summer, with an obligatory option to buy for 180 million euros next year.

Mbappe wasn't harmed in the incident, although European football's governing body have decided to look into it, with Celtic likely to be punished.

Celtic fans, it should be pointed out, booed the lone supporter's actions, with security quickly dealing with him. UEFA will make a decision at their next disciplinary meeting on Oct. 19.

Neymar, Mbappe and Edinson Cavani were all on target in the game, with Unai Emery's side hopeful of claiming their first Champions League crown this season after a summer of extreme spending.
