"It was the perfect performance and we won with authority"

"I am delighted for everyone, especially Ronaldo and Bale"

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane was delighted with his team's convincing win in Germany against Borussia Dortmund, a side Los Blancos had failed to visit away from home in six previous meetings. "It was the perfect game, a great match from beginning to end," the Frenchman said.

The win came, in Zidane's opinion, "because [Madrid] played spectacular football. Only in the second hald did the opposition put us under more pressure, which is normal." Zidane added that "we can be very happy with what we've done. For that reacon I'm really proud of what [the players] did, because they beat Borussia with authoirty."

When talking about the goal scorers, he said that "I'm delighted with Cristiano's two goals, because when he doesn't score things are said. And also for Gareth [Bale]. This goal will do him good." He also highlighted the work of the midfield: "Isco, [Luka] Modric, [Toni] Kroos and Casemiro played wonderfully. A tremendous game from everyone."
