Zinedine Zidane hails his squad players after Madrid beat Depor

The coach recognised he played with a lot of his B team rather than his stars

Isco had a phenomenal game and the Frenchman was quick to acknowledge it

Zinedine Zidane was happy after his team smashed Deportivo de la Coruna 6-2 on Wednesday. He made nine changes from the Clasico defeat by Barcelona and the team played very well.

"These are players who do not always play, and what they did today was phenomenal, in the rhythm, the seriousness they showed from the first moment," said Zidane.

"We had some moments of difficulty, but that is normal. I am very happy with how they all played."

He pointed out that the team he picked was one that had a lot of attacking stars and not that many defensive minded ones.

"They are very attacking players who defended very well. And when we have the ball we know that we have a lot of quality with James, Marco Asensio, Isco or Morata up front to score goals. We let in two goals yes, but that's football."

On Isco he added: "He had an amazing game. He has a great ability on the ball and huge confidence that he shows each day on the pitch."
