The Madrid coach lamented that the ball "didn't want to go in" against Betis

Sanabria's winner gave Betis the points and Madrid are without a home win

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane recognised that there was a "bad" vibe in the dressing room when asked how his players were after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Real Betis.

“The mood in the dressing room is bad, but that’s football and it can go like this when the ball doesn’t want to go in. We didn’t have a great game, but we didn’t have a bad one either. We had chances and the ball didn’t want to go in," the Frenchman told beIN sports.

Zidane also denied that Cristiano Ronaldo, making his first La Liga strart of the season after a five-game ban, is not struggling with anxiety.

"No, nothing like that. On the contrary, we’re happy to have Cristiano with us and back in the team. Things didn't come off, but tranquility..." was the message from Zizou.

Madrid have failed to win their opening three home games in La Liga -- the loss to Betis came after draws with Levante and Valencia -- and Zidane admitted that's far from ideal.

"Of course, and we have to live with that," the coach said of the lack of form at the Bernabeu. “We haven’t done enough in these three games at home. We didn’t think it was going to be like this, but we can’t change it.

“What we can change, however, is the next game. We’ll do our best to win it, and in our next home game in the League, we have to do everything to win it."

And when asked about falling seven points behind Barça, he said that "[the season] is very long and this isn't going to change anything for us."
