The question about James Rodriguez which made Zinedine Zidane uncomfortable

Colombian international James is out of favour and could seek a January exit from Madrid

Zinedine Zidane was left conflicted from questions about James Rodriguez in his press conference previewing the Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

On many occasions Zidane has tried to calm the storm by praising the Colombian, but this time he was not as glowing.

First, when asked about James training after arriving back in Madrid after not featuring in the Clasico, he said: "I admite James. He trained, he's available, but like many players who return from a game, they do a recovery session. I don't know what you hope for with the question."

Later, he admitted that James is not happy with his lack of minutes in the Madrid team.

He said: "James is a Madrid player, he is very important here.

"Ok, he's not playing and wants to play more, but for me he's important and he will play here. I need the whole group and James is a part of that,"

Zizou was then asked if he would let James leave the club if he asked: "I'm not going to respond because I would have to say nonsense and I don't want to."
