Florentino Pérez is preparing a €134 million bid for the young French star

The transfers of Álvaro Morata and Danilo have given the Madrid club the funds for the operation

According to the English newspaper The Sun, Real Madrid are convinced that they will be able to complete the signing of Kylian Mbappe for a record fee of €134 million and beat off competition from the Premier League.

SunSport adds that Real Madrid will be able to pay the fee thanks to the sums banked through selling Álvaro Morata to Chelsea and the imminent sale of Danilo to Manchester City, which will raise around €102 million between them.

They also report that Florentino Pérez is feeling under pressure to land a galáctico after being re-elected president unopposed last month. However, the Madrid club has had to sell players to fund the move. Karim Benzema could be included in the deal to reduce the monetary fee, although Monaco are currently denying that they are interested in the player. Monaco have also threatened to report clubs who have made “unacceptable contact” with the player to FIFA as they fight to keep the player.
