The monumental anger of James Rodriguez

The Colombian was not a fan of being taken off against Leganes

Zidane has since defended his reaction after being removed

Real Madrid's Colombian star James Rodriguez was not in favour of Zinedine Zidane's decision to take him off for Isco against Leganes on Wednesday.

James showed his anger with the decision to his manager. And Emilio Butragueño, Madrid's director for institutional relations, had a message for him.

Butragueño remined James that it's Zidane, the manager, who is in charge and who makes the decisions: "James Rodriguez is a very good player. All the players were at a great level, although there were 15 minutes when they relaxed.

"That James did not like the change... the players want to play and it's the manager that's in charge. They have to understand it that way."

PRAISE FOR ASENSIO

After recognising that Madrid "suffered" at times on route to the three points -- they were pegged back to 3-2 from 3-0 at one point -- he had praise for Marco Asensio.

He added: "Marco Asensio is in his natural evolution, he is a boy who understands the game very well, technically gifted, fast and powerful.

"He has huge potential and every time he has been required he has played very well. He was extraordinary today. He is still young, but he knows what it means to represent Real Madrid. He has a great personality and the confidence of Zidane."
