The 500 million euro 'anti-Barça' clause in Ceballos' contract
Real Madrid want to tie the midfielder down for the long-term
Barça and Juventus had also shown an interest in the youngster
Dani Ceballos is one of Real Madrid's new signings this summer and Florentino Perez wants to make sure he doesn't lose the player in the short, medium or long-term. That's the only way his release clause can be explained... 500 million euros!
The number, revealed by Diario AS, suggests Madrid want to make sure any club interested in Ceballos in the future cannot afford to pay his buy out clause, perhaps with Barcelona's interest in the midfielder this summer in mind.
Ceballos' explosion at the UEFA U21 Championships in Poland, where he was named MVP, threw him into the limelight and led to a number of clubs expressing their interest in him -- including Barça and Juventus, as well as Madrid.
