Danilo got things going with a foolish own goal, heading Pablo Sarabia's cross past his goalkeeper in a Copa del Rey thriller

Karim Benzema saved Real Madrid's unbeaten record, making them the first Spanish team to go 40 games without defeat.

He struck deep in stoppage time to net the final strike in their six-goal thriller against Sevilla, which seemed for all the world like it would be the end of their unbeaten run.

Danilo got things going with a foolish own goal, heading Pablo Sarabia's cross past his goalkeeper.

However an amazing dribble from Marco Asensio from deep in his own half led to Madrid's equaliser, with the 20-year-old tucking home to end a superb solo move.

Sevilla hit back with goals from new boy Stevan Jovetic and then Vicente Iborra, but Sergio Ramos' Panenka penalty after Casemiro was fouled, then Benzema's last gasp goal helped Madrid make history.
