Mendes will reiterate Cristiano Ronaldo's desire to leave this summer
Real Madrid learned of Cristiano Ronaldo’s desire to leave the club because of the tax evasion accusations against him through the press, but have since acknowledge that the Portugal star does wish to quit Spain because he feels he’s being persecuted.
The soap opera, according to El Transistor on Onda Cero, will have its next episode this weekend when Madrid president Florentino Perez will meet with Jorge Mendes (Ronaldo’s agent) to try to find a solution to the situation. According to the same report, Mendes will insist on his client’s departure and the Madrid president will ask him if there are any offers for Ronaldo.
What’s clear is that Florentino will not make things easy. He doesn’t have any intention, in principle, of selling the player although a big offer could force him to change his mind. Whatever happens, things are only just getting started and the story could run on throughout the summer.
