Real Madrid without Sergio Ramos for Sevilla and Granada games

The defender's first appearance of the New Year should come in the second leg at Sevilla next week

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos will miss his side's next two games. The defender will not begin the year in action due to a problem he picked up at the Club World Cup.

Ramos joins the list of Madrid absentees, therefore, for the Copa del Rey game against Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu. He will also miss the league game against Granada at the weekend, although he's banned for that match regardless.

The Spain international will reach 25 days out of action since the Club World Cup final in Japan. However, the club are confident it won't be longer than that and expect to have him available for the second leg of the Copa del Rey game at Sevilla on Jan. 12.

Remember that Ramos ended 2016 training on his own and began 2017 in the same manner due to not overcoming a niggle.
