Real Madrid to be fined after slack security against Sporting Lisbon

The anti-violence commission has proposed fining Real Madrid 3,001 euros for deficiencies in their measures of control of supporters in the Champions League game against Sporting Lisbon. They also want to take action against six visiting fans for incidents in the same game.

According the the Superior Sports Council (CSD) the fine is for not stopping a flare being lit in the game on September 14. 

The other parts of the sanction are for the fans of the Portuguese team. 3,001 euros for lighting the flare and another in the street, as well as someone throwing a glass of beer at a security guard “with clear signs of intoxication”.
