Florentino Perez says the French coach is in line for a new deal

Zidane has led Madrid to five trophies in just 18 months in charge

Florentino Perez says Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane will be rewarded with a new contract at the club this summer.

Zidane led Madrid to a La Liga-Champions League double last season having already won the Champions League in his first half-campaign in charge.

Madrid have also won the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup under the French coach.

"We will renew [Zidane] until when he wants," Madrid president Perez told Onda Cero. "We're going to renew his deal as soon as he's back from his holiday.

"He identifies with our values. He's a meticulous and professional person who knows exacttly what this club means. That's been the success.

"There have been many good signings, but very few big signings. We're delighted. These are the things that make me feel proud.

"Putting him on the bench has been one of the successes of the last four years. He's helped us transmit what we want for ths Real Madrid. There's a great union between Zidane and the club."
