Real Madrid board: If Zidane wins nothing, he won't continue

The French coach is well placed to add to last season's Champions League but the club remain unconvinced

Zinedine Zidane could be sacked by Real Madrid at the end of the season. That's what Diego Torres, journalist for El Pais, has said.

"The Madrid board for several months now repeat themselves and each time with more strength: if Zidane wins nothing, he won't continue. If he wins, we will see," Torres wrote on Twitter.

Despite winning the club's 11th Champions League, the French coach still doesn't have Florentino Perez's complete recognition. In fact, the Madrid president contacted Jose Mourinho after sacking Rafa Benitez before betting on Zidane, who in the capital they say is a good man manager but not so great on a tactical level.

Remember that, knocked out of the Copa del Rey, Madrid have one foot in the last eight of the Champions League and lead LaLiga from Barcelona by a point with a game in hand. Therefore, Zidane has a lot to play for in the coming months.
