Real Madrid blow as Luka Modric suffers knee injury

Real Madrid have been dealt a big blow by the news midfielder Luka Modric has suffered a knee injury.

Arguably Los Blancos' best player, the Croatian will be out for an unspecified period of time but early thoughts are that it will last around a month.

Real Madrid issued a statement, reading: "Following tests carried out on Luka Modric, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the articular cartilage in his left knee. His recovery will continue to be monitored."

Madrid are already dealing without Casemiro and this is a further problem for Zinedine Zidane to deal with.
