Statistics and the past don't usually count for much in these type of games, but Michel does know how to beat Real Madrid. His last clash against them at home as a coach ended in a 1-0 win while he was at Sevilla. Michel has lost the other five games he's played against Madrid as a coach, four at Getafe and one more as Sevilla boss. That was in the 2013-14 season and he was sacked after losing 3-0.

In Barcelona few are confident that he will steer Malaga to victory but he posted a message on his social media accounts, indicating he would do everything he can to get the win for his current team.

Malaga haven't been a comfortable rival for Madrid. Los Blancos have won just 10 of the 35 games played at la Rosaleda. The latest of those came on December 22, 2012 and Isco was playing for Malaga. They won 3-2 with a double from Roque Santacruz... and one from Isco.
