The Brazilian left back took time out of his summer break to visit Real Madrid's training ground and this has sparked rumours about his future

Marcelo has made a surprise appearance at Real Madrid's training ground, Valdebebas. The Brazilian left back took a break from his summer holidays to pop in and greet his teammates as well as new coach Julen Lopetegui.

The left back was seen inside the training ground but didn't want to stop and make any declarations to the press. He had a conversation with Lopetegui, who the player had never met before, but Marcelo's presence at the training ground has caused a few alarm bells to ring at the club.

Perhaps it was a gesture you'd expect of someone important at Real Madrid, as well as one of the club's captains. But in a crucial time during the transfer window, the player might be there for other reasons. As revealed by SPORT, Marcelo has been linked with a move away from Madrid this season.

Just 24 hours after Cristiano Ronaldo was presented as a Juventus player, he asked his new club to sign his former Real Madrid teammate Marcelo. However it won't be an easy transfer to make. The player, who has been at the club for 11 years, signed a new contract last summer and that deal runs until 2022. Juventus would need to sell their own left back, Alex Sandro, too.

A FIFA agent by the name of Beppe Accardi told 'TimGate' that the Brazilian could move to Juventus this summer. "Marcelo joining Juventus is something I believe could happen." Real Madrid aren't worried at the moment but hope the speculation surrounding Marcelo's future ends soon.
