Marcelo: Cristiano Ronaldo has credit
The defender backed his team-mate after a bad miss and his eventual winner
Marcelo didn't know how to explain the difference in home and away form
Real Madrid solved a game which seemed like it was heading for a draw with a Cristiano Ronaldo goal in the 85th minute. The Portuguese forward had missed a huge chance minutes before.
Marcelo, speaking after the game, praised his team-mate. "We know what he can give during the game. If he doesn't score he has a lot of credit all the same and when he has to be there, he's there.
"(The Coliseum Alfonso Perez) is a difficult place, players are more motivated against Real Madrid and we let in a goal, I don't know if it was offside, they say it was, but it doesn't matter. We knew how to read the game and we won."
Madrid have now won 13 games in a row away from home, while their form at the Santiago Bernabeu has not been as good. "I don't know how to explain it. Wer'e trying to cut into the top team's lead and we will fight."
