Not even against a third-tier side could Real Madrid avoid controversy. Madrid won their last-32 tie 2-0 away from home thanks to two non-existent penalties.
The first happened in the 62nd minute when defender Achraf Hakimi was pulled down on the right by Fran Garcia. He was grabbed outside the area but the referee Iglesias Villanueva pointed to the penalty spot.
Marco Asensio scored it and Madrid were ahead.
