Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has spoken about the club's supposed interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar. Zidane was speaking before his side's match with Atletico on Saturday, which will be the first Madrid derby at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Neymar was the second thing Zidane was asked about at his pre-game press conference and the French coach, as is usual, tried to play things down. He limited himself to saying that "the information that's appeared about Neymar doesn't affect us at all. There's a lot of noise around Madrid, but we have to keep ourselves to the side."

He added: "We are just focused on ourselves and on what we have to do. We're not going to change or impede what people opine or speak about when it comes to Real Madrid. We're relaxed. We want to play, that's what interests us."

The journalists present insisted on the Neymar subject, though, and Zidane said: "I am with the players I have and I only think about them. Neymar is good, perfect, but I have the best here and the dressing room thinks the same. We're focused on the squad we have and in the future, we will see."

Finally, asked if talking about Neymar would upset Cristiano Ronaldo, Zidane insisted that "there's no debate with Cristiano Ronaldo. We will see what happens in the future. Now we only think about what we have. I am not going to speak about a player that's not mine. I have respect for Neymar, who is really good."
