James Rodriguez thinks Madrid coach Zidane is taking the mick

The Colombian international feels that the Frenchman's quotes do not line up with his actions

James Rodriguez has the sensation that Zinedine Zidane is leading him on. According to El Confidencial, the French coach's continued quotes of encouragement contrast with the lack of opportunities he has given to the Colombian.

It's situation which is not sustainable and which has led the player to think that Zizou is tricking him.

"If I was James, I would stay in Madrid," Zidane said before the weekend's win over Sporting, when he was asked about the player's situation and the chances of him leaving Madrid.

Just a few days ago, the Madrid press saluted the coach's handling of the midfielder as a way of looking for a 'reaction'. It contrasts with the cruel reality: James is a luxury substitute and has even seen Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio move ahead of him.

James is reportedly fed up of the nonsense being spoken and will no longer give credite to what his coach says.

For a few weeks now James' agent, Jorge Mendes, has been looking at possible January escape routes. It will take an offer of around 70 million euros, though, for Madrid president Florentino Perez to consider selling the 25-year-old.
