Welsh forward Gareth Bale has ruled out leaving Real Madrid and says he's happy and looking forward to a great season if he can avoid injury problems.

"I signed a long contract at Real Madrid and I'm happy at the club," Bale told Marca in an interview. "I'm a British player and they will always link me to a move home. It happened to Beckham and other British players in Spain, nothing new. There's nothing concrete, no offer, nothing to discuss."

Regarding his injury problems which kept him out of action last season for large parts, he said: "I will try and have my best season, of course, if injuries leave me alone."
