Mauricio Pochettino is the coach Madrid would hire if the Frenchman left

Perez likes his personality and he's doing a great job with Tottenham

Real Madrid presdient Florentino Perez is delighted with Zinedine Zidane, who has helped the club win two Champions Leagues and one La Liga in his brief tenure.

The French coach has a contract until 2020, but both Perez and Zidane are aware how quickly things can change on the Bernabeu bench. Everything depends on results and that's where Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino's name enters.

Pochettino is the man Perez will move for if he ever has to replace Zidane. The Argentine coach was already on the agenda in 2015, when the club eventually hired Rafa Benitez.

There's no change expected in the short-term, but anything is possible in football, especially when you're talking about the top job at Madrid. There will come a moment, no one doubts, when Zidane either chooses to leave or the club choose to replace him.

PERSONALITY

The Madrid president believes Pochettino would be the ideal replacement for Zidane. He likes the Spurs coach's personality and the way he manages his teams. He also hasn't forgotten that the former Espanyol player and manager has never hidden his desire to one day coach Los Blancos.

In fact, he's even gone as far as to say he would never move to Barcelona.

There is no doubt at the moment -- although a lot can change in the coming months and years -- that when Zidane eventually needs to be replaced, the job will be Pochettino's for the taking.
