The German publication, in conjunction with documents from Football Leaks have new claims

The Real Madrid forward is alleged to have settled out of court for a rape case

Der Spiegel have doubled down on their accusations against Cristiano Ronaldo for alleged rape in 2009 in Las Vegas, USA. Der Spiegel are using information published by Football Leaks. They say they have possession of a document what describes the deal between the alleged victim, Susan K, and Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s adviser’s (Jorge Mendes) agency, Gestifute, claimed that the story was “journalistic fiction” based on “unsigned documents” with unidentified parties.

However Der Spiegel said that is false and wrote: “DER SPIEGEL is in possession of the document outlining the out-of-court settlement between Susan K. and Ronaldo. It originates from the trove of data supplied by the whistleblower platform Football Leaks. In the documents, Ronaldo also appears under the codename "Topher." A "Confidential Side Letter Agreement" states the pseudonym refers to the football player. And: The paper is signed by Ronaldo. There's no reason to doubt the document's authenticity.”

They go on to detail Ronaldo claiming the amount that Susan wanted to settle for was “too much”.
