Cristiano Ronaldo's message for Gerard Pique

Cristiano Ronaldo's message for Gerard Pique

The Real Madrid star didn't want to say too much when asked about the Barça defender

Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo remembered Barcelona defender Gerard Pique during an interview with 'El Larguero' on Cadena Ser.

Ronaldo, who won FIFA's The Best on Monday, spoke afterwards, among other things, about the current situation controversy Pique due to his comments about referees. His comments against officials, after the games against Athletic and Villarreal, have not gone down well with the Portuguese international.

At least that is what can be deduced from his comments on Cadena Ser. "I hope that in 2017 people have more common sense, that everyone has more common sense," Ronaldo said when asked about Gerard Pique.

In the same interview, Ronaldo referred to the absence of the Barcelona players from the gala, which took place in Zurich on Monday. "They have an important match on Wednesday and I understand, although I would have liked them to be there," he said, while appreciating Antoine Griezmann's presence.

The French star -- along with Ronaldo and Messi -- was one of the three finalists and also has a cup game on Wednesday with Atletico Madrid.
