Cristiano Ronaldo won't vote for Zidane as Best FIFA Football Coach

For an obvious reason, the Portugal star will be voting for another manager

Despite winning trophies with his club manager and his national team coach, Cristiano Ronaldo is clear on who he’s going to vote of as The Best FIFA Football Coach -- and it’s not Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane.

As captain of the Portugal team, Ronaldo has the right to a vote in the awards. His vote will go for Portugal boss Fernando Santos, who led his country to the European Championships against all predictions and without Ronaldo in the final.

“It’s very easy, if you ask me as captain of my national team. In my opinion it’s more difficult to win the Euros with Portugal, which had never been done in the country’s history, than Zidane, who won the Champions League doing a fantastic job,” Ronaldo said in quotes ran by Marca.

“If they were in my position, I’m sure they’d do the same,” Ronaldo added, excusing himself from having to choose between his two managers. Zindane, incidentally, has said he would vote for Ronaldo in the Ballon d’Or if he could.
