Cristiano Ronaldo reveals his all-time favourite Real Madrid goal

Cristiano Ronaldo has given an interview to Real Madrid TV with the motive of discussing the contract renewal he signed until 2021 earlier this week. In the interview, he spoke about the past, the present and the future, in terms of on the pitch and off the pitch.

“People sometimes think I’m not human. But I am. I have good moments and other moments which aren’t so good. My ambition is always to react because after a not so good moment, the good moments arrive. I try to leave a good image on and off the pitch. That’s me and it’s not gone badly,” the Portuguese international said.

Ronaldo, who insisted that he wants to retire at Real Madrid, wants to “win every year because that’s the most important thing in football.”

He was also asked about his favourite goal. “The one I scored from the penalty spot in the last Champions League final. Maybe it’s not the goal you were expecting, but it was decisive,” he said about his winning goal in the shootout against Atletico Madrid.

On Zinedine Zidane, he added: “I admired him as a player and I admire him as a person and as a manager. I have a special affection for him. After winning the Champions League we spoke and they were special, fun moments after winning a game of such emotion like that final. We were both very emotional.”
