Cristiano Ronaldo let off as another kick out goes unpunished

The Portuguese international's act of aggression once again was not seen by a referee

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo was once again the protagonist against on Tuesday, both for his goal in the draw against Borussia Dortmund, but also for a kick on the German side’s right-back Marcel Schmelzer. And, as always, he got away with his act of aggression.

Ronaldo has history when it comes to losing his temper. This time, he kicked out at Schmelzer after not getting the ball. He fell to the floor and swung a leg at the Dortmund man. What’s more, he did it behind his back, so his rival was not aware that he was about to be kicked.

The violent act follows the Portuguese star’s outburst after being substituted by Zinedine Zidane in the draw with Las Palmas at the weekend. In Germany, English referee Mark Clattenburg either didn’t see the kick or chose to ignore it.

Throughout the game the official let a lot go, including a foul by Sergio Ramos which should have seen the defender yellow carded. And it would have seen the expulsion of the Madrid man, too, as he had already been cautioned.
