Celta Vigo fans furious with referee's performance in Real Madrid loss

Iago Aspas' controversial disimissal did not go down well with the home supporters

Martínez Munuera was harsher on the Celta players than their Madrid counterparts

Balaidos turned on Martínez Munuera after the referee's questionable performance during Real Madrid's win over Celta Vigo on Wednesday night. The home supporters clearly felt the official's decision making favoured Madrid.

The biggest scandal came in the second half, when Munuera took no time in showing Iago Aspas a second yellow card, thus sending him off. The referee deemed that the Celta forward had dived looking for a penalty under a challenge from Sergio Ramos and booked him.

Minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo dived at the other end in search of a penalty. And while the referee didn't buy it, he also did not book the Real Madrid forward -- who would have been suspended for the Malaga game on Sunday with a booking.

Aspas' first booking had also been cause for complaint. Raphael Varane had clearly handled the ball just outside the area, but Munuera waved play on. Former Liverpool man Aspas was then booked for his protests.

For several minutes and throughout the second half, the home support mocked the referee. On various occasions they chanted "Another, Another" in reference to a string of decisions which didn't go against them -- including a number of Casemiro fouls which drew free-kicks, but not bookings.

It was another biased refereeing performance which the fans of Celta will not forget.
