Dani Ceballos has given his first press conference as a Real Madrid player and was very clear that Real Madrid were always has first choice.
“There was no doubt in my mind. This is where I wanted to be. The president contacted me and I didn’t listen to any other offers then and now I will have to work hard in training to force my way into the team”.
After being presented at the Santiago Bernabéu, Ceballos spoke with confidence about his new challenge: “I am keen to learn from the best and work hard. I will try to take advantage of the minutes I do play to convince Zidane I’m good enough to play. I’m a young player and I come with high hopes. I want to make history at this club.”
The former Betis player also highlighted Marco Asensio, who he has known for a while, and Sergio Ramos, who has already talked to him to welcome him, as key factors in his move and hopes to be as successful as Ramos, who also left a Seville club at a young age to join Real Madrid.
