The two players stepped up their recoveries on Thursday

Real Madrid are preparing for Alaves after losing to Betis

Karim Benzema and Jesús Vallejo were the new faces at Real Madrid training on Thursday morning following the loss to Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday. 

Benzema and Varane were both back out on the pitch for the first time since their injuries, working on their own as they stepped up their respective recoveries. 

Meanwhile, Marcelo, who was injured in the loss to Betis, underwent medical tests to determine the extent of the problem. 

Both Benzema and Vallejo did do some ball work, whilt their team-mates worked on another part of the pitch. 

The players that started against Betis took part in a recovery session indoors, although Casemiro, Modric, Isco and Bale were all seen on the training pitch at Valdebebas, too.

B team players Franchu, Quezada, Tejero and Óscar, according to the club, all took part in the session.

Theo Hernandez and Mateo Kovacic remain injured.
