The Welsh international still has a problem with his calf muscle

He won't be risked against Sporting and could miss the Bayern game

Gareth Bale has stil not taken off. The Welshman, who was replaced by Marco Asensio at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, is a serious doubt for Real Madrid's upcoming games.

Madrid-based newspaper Marca report that Bale could miss next week's return leg of Los Blancos' Champions League quater-final against Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Bale's calf is supposedly the problem and Zinedine Zidane said after the game: "He felt a tweak at half time and I didn’t want to take any risks. He doesn’t feel so good, we hope it’s nothing major. But I’m happy with the substitution and with Asensio’s performance.”

Zidane will not risk the forward this weekend and will wait and see if he can recover in time for Bayern on Tuesaday, with the Clasico to come against Barcelona next weekend.

Medical tests this week will reveal the extent of Bale's injury, the latest in a string of problems not just this season, but since he joined the club from Tottenham.
