"Bayern are ran by someone who understands football"

In an interview with 'L'Equipe', the Italian has sent a clear message to his former president

Just because Carlo Ancelotti left Real Madrid as a gentleman, does not mean he doesn't have discrepancies about the way Florentino Perez acts. He's expressed as much in an interview with L'Equipe.

"What's the difference between Bayern and Real Madrid? They're quite similar as clubs, maybe the difference between them is that one is ran by an ex-footballer and he understands what happens better," Ancelotti commented, sending a discreet message to the Madrid president.

With respect to his departure from Madrid, Ancelotti said that he needed to relax a little. "I still saw so much football on television. I was in Canada, I went fishing, running. It was a good time to rest. I could’ve returned to Milan last season, but after Real I needed a break so I could also be operated on."

Finally, the Italian also had good words for Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane: "He has a lot of charisma and the players respect him. I saw it when he was my assistant and I think that's the key. The players had problems with [Rafael] Benitez and when Zizou came in everything changed. The players are all fully behind him."
