Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to miss the rest of the season after the Manchester United striker hurt his knee on Thursday night. According to ESPN, he may be out until January 2018 with serious ligament damage.

After the 35 year old was injured during the win over Anderlecht, Mourinho said: "I want to wait but my feeling is not good for both (Ibra and Marcos Rojo, who was injured too). I want to wait and be optimistic but I am not."

Ibrahimovic is not expected to recover, leaving Man United without their top scorer for the challenges ahead, including the Europa League semi-finals against Celta Vigo.

He has scored 28 goals for the club but may have played his last game, with his contract expiring in the summer.
