Radamel Falcao signs on loan for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea

Radamel Falcao has signed for Chelsea. As announced this Friday by the English club, they have reached an agreement with Monaco for the deal, after the Colombian played on loan for Manchester United under Louis Van Gaal. Falcao will also play as a loanee this year, but this time in London.

Falcao, who spoke to the club's official website, said: "I am very happy to join up with Chelsea and I am already looking forward to start training and to help the team retain the league title and achieve success in Europe."

Falcao, 29, previously shone for Atletico Madrid before signing for Monaco. The striker also played at River Plate and Porto, where he made his Champions League debut against Chelsea.

The Colombia international left for Monaco in the summer of 2013, but couldn't finish the season after suffering a serious injury to his left knee. Due to this, he missed out on the second half of the campaign and also the World Cup in Brazil.

In September he was loaned out to Manchester United, as Louis van Gaal's men got back into the Champions League, but Falcao couldn't nail down a starting spot.

Now begins a new era for Falcao, under orders from Jose Mourinho, where he will link up with former Atletico players Thibaut Courtois, Filipe Luis and Diego Costa, as well as international teammate Juan Cuadrado.
