Nolito: Guardiola will get the best out of me at Manchester City

Nolito has spoken for the first time since becoming a Manchester City player, giving an interview to the club's website and revealing his excitement at moving to the Premier League.

"I will try to adapt as soon as possible and do everything that the manager [Pep Guardiola] asks of me," the former Celta Vigo forward said, adding his objective is to "show what I can bring to the team, as I've done throughout my career at the clubs I have been at."

Nolito doesn't want to put any pressure on himself after swapping Vigo for Manchester and is not thinking of changing his style of play: "It's simply about trying to play my football and I hope that way I can help City win games."

The former Barça B forward also lavished praise on Guardiola, who also has a Blaugrana past and is a reference in the management world. Guardiola, in addition, has taken a bet on the Spain international by signing him.

"I think that Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world. He knows a lot about football and he will help me progress as a player. I'm sure he will be capable of getting the best out of me," he said.

Manchester City's newest signing will wear the No.9 shirt at the Etihad Stadium.
