A more prepared Manchester United beat City 2-0 in Houston

Two goals in two minutes won the game for Manchester United

Manchester United started the International Champions Cup campaign in the best way posible, beating their city rivals 2-0. The first derby played abroad was watched by 64,000 spectators in Houston, Texas.

The goals came in the 37th minute, from new signing Romelu Lukaku, and the 39th minute by Manchester-born Marcus Rashford.

Both teams made several changes in the second half, and although Manchester United looked the more dangerous throughout, there were no more goals. Manchester City’s lack of sharpness compared to Manchester United, who had already played two friendlies, was notable throughout.
