Juve signed Alves on a free transfer from Barça last year

The Guardian confirmed that the former Barça coach is interested in Alves as he looks to strengthen his side in the full-back positions this summer.

Bacary Sagna, Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy have all left the club this summer and City have been linked with Kyle Walker, but Spurs rejected an offer of 45.6 million euros for him.

Guardiola would like Walker and Alves and for the latter it's been reported the Premier League side have offered Juventus 5.7 million euros, while they will give the Brazilian a two-year deal.

Alves joined Juve last summer on a free transfer from Barça and has one more year left on his deal in Turin but would like an additional year.

SPORT have reported on several occasions that Alves is happy at Juve but is prepared to leave the club this summer for a two-year deal eslewhere.

The Brazil international still spends a lot of his time in Barcelona, where his kids still live despite his move to Italy.
