Man City sign Lejeune and Sobrino, then loan them to Girona
Manchester City have completed the signings of Florian Lejeune and Ruben Sobrino, immediately loaning both of the players to Spanish second division side Girona.
French defender Lejeune,24, signed from Girona before being instantly loaned back to the Catalan club. He played 40 times last season as Girona just missed out on promotion to La Liga.
He has previously played for Villarreal, Brest and Istres and has been capped by France at U20 level.
As for Spanish striker Sobrino, he joins City from another Spanish second division side, Ponferradina, but will not link up with Lejeune at Girona.
Sobrino, 23, came through the ranks at Real Madrid before leaving Los Blancos in 2014 to sign for Ponferradina, where he scored five goals in 41 appearances last season.
