Manchester City have a remodelling plan now that Pep Guardiola will lead their new sporting project, and that means plenty of footballers will come in, while others lead. Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta are both expected to go.

And although other players, including Hector Bellerin, were on the list, City have decided they want Sime Vrsaljko, a player who has interested Barcelona enough for Ariedo Braida to scout him, as well as Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Vrsaljko has played 15 times for Croatia and is a certainty for their Euro 2016 squad. The 24-year-old arrived at Sassuolo in the summer of 2014 for 3.5million euros, coming from Genoa, where he spent one year.

Before he was at Dinamo Zagreb, the club with whom he won the only titles he has gained - four leagues and two Croatian cups. This season he has played 34 league games and one Italian cup game, for a total of 3,061 minutes. He has provided four assists.

A City deal for Vrsaljko would be for around 14m euros, more than the 9m he is valued at on Transfermarkt.
