Man City held again as Guardiola's winless run stretches to five games

Manchester City’s winless run under Pep Guardiola stretched to five games on Sunday as they were held at home to Southampton.

Nathan Redmond gave Southampton the lead, but City responded after the break when substitute Kelechi Iheanacho scored from David Silva’s cross.

After 10 wins in a row, City have now drawn three and lost two of their last five fixtures.

The baron run started with a 3-3 draw at Celtic in the Champions League, which was followed by the league defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Everton then drew at the Etihad Stadium, before Guardiola’s side were thumped 4-0 at Camp Nou in midweek.

And they were once again unable to get back to winning ways against Southampton, who continue to impress under new manager Claude Puel.
